After 6 month research in the Swedish and UK National Archives, we delve deeper in this tour, into some human destinies and events in Europe's spy center - Östermalm in Stockholm. Unlike our two other walking tours - Casablanca of the North and 12 female spies, in this tour we will focus on 6 spies and their activities in Stockholm during the Second World War - three women and three men who in different ways made an impression on history. These people's work had, to varying degrees, an impact on how Sweden was affected by the Second World War, either by working for Sweden or for the other warring parties that were active during the war. CITY WALK /SPY WALK - MEET 12 FEMALE SPIES

This new walking tour is a standalone continuation of our popular spy walk about World War II - Casablanca of the North and is about some of the, often completely unknown and forgotten, women who formed a very important part of Swedish intelligence history during the Second World War. Either for the Swedish side who spied on both Germans and Allies or who spied for the Germans and for the Soviet Union. This walking tour tells about 12 women who were an important part of history and who influenced the outcome of the Second World War in one way or another. Some of them are famous, but several the public has probably never heard of or heard a completely different story than what was actually the truth. Don't miss this unique walking tour that will ”blow your mind”... The walking tour is about 2-2.5 km long and takes about 2½ up to 3 hours depending on questions and audience composition and interest. PLEASE NOTE! - This city walks can be purchased as a package together with Casablanca of the North with a SEK 15 discount per hike (SEK 500 for both hikes compared to SEK 530 if both hikes are booked at the same time). CITY WALK /SPY WALK- IN THE SHADOW OF THE COLD WAR

Take a walk through the old top secret military area in Ursvik, Sundbyberg and hear about what the various buildings and storerooms hid, what the “Russians” knew about the operation of the area and much more. Hear about Swedish nuclear weapons, radioactive pigs, the origin of the romance killer, and so much more about the area's unique, top-secret history. We will also tell you about methods, recruitment, Swedish nuclear bombs and nuclear submarines, about FOA's top secret research into nuclear weapons and biological and chemical weapons and about the “pig that escaped” that could have caused a disaster, about how Ursvik was at the center of the news without ever being mentioned on several occasions in the 80s and how close Karlskrona was close to being annihilated by a nuclear explosion, narrated by “someone who was there” as well as whether it was working as a “spy” during the Cold War and how Swedish spies worked abroad. If time does not run out, we also talk about how a Swedish operator works in the near future and what equipment Swedish “agents” use, it's probably not what you think. About Swedish Spy Museum

Swedish Spy Museum Project is a voluntary driven project to create a museum of intelligence history in Sweden, a "Swedish Spy Museum".

Our skilled guides take you through stories of spies, agents, and secret and covert activities in Sweden throughout history, where we put these in their historical context.

Until our project with a physical museum can be realized, we organize lectures and during the summer months, various “Spy” Walking tours.

Our spy tours are walks in areas of intelligence historical interest, currently only within Stockholm County, but other tours may come later.

The walks vary in length but usually last between 2½ to 3½ hours depending on the extent of the hike and the guest's involvement. For more specific information, click the book button under our respective events.
